An Event That Influenced Me Analysis

Although there are many events that I could talk about that have influenced me and my life, there is one that stands out to me. This past year alone has been a tremendous year of growth for me; all thanks to being in dance. I have danced for 12 years altogether, and for the past two years, I found myself at a wonderful studio filled with people who became my family. Not long after I started attending, I was invited into their handpicked Repertory group. When I accepted, I had no idea what was in store for me. I was then asked to be a teacher's assistant for a younger group of kids, which was a huge honor. Eventually, my group was told that we had to hand choreograph a solo for us to preform in front of the entire team and panel of judges. To any other person, these things might look truly amazing and an adventure that not many have had the pleasure to experience.
I was asked to do something that I have never seen myself as good at. I was asked to be a role model for children and to teach them. I was asked to perform a solo that I would choreograph myself. I was asked to have a senior feature in my dance, which was a mini solo in front of thousands of people. I was asked to not be the introvert that I was, step outside of my comfort zone, and experience life in a new way. There were many times that I was put in very uncomfortable positions that forced me to find a way I could pull through. I wanted to be able to prove that I could accomplish everything that was set out in front of me.
