Amigo Brothers In the reading ‘Amigos Brothers’ by Piri Thomas it has a story about two boys named Antonio and Felix ,they are best friends. They both wanted be champions on being boxers and turned out fighting each other. In this story it has many literary terms (mood,author's point of view,ect.) The author’s intent/purpose is to entertain the reader.It entertains the reader by showing the conflict between the two characters,Felix and Antonio.It shows how both characters have to fight in a boxing match.It shows every movement they take like”Antonio struggled up his feet,got up,ducked,and threw a smashing right that dropped felix on his back.” That really entertained me as a reader, and was one of the key points that made me say Antonio

    Antonio's second dream is also very important. Antonio is dreaming of his three brothers. They are all describing different parts of their father's dream and hope to travel and build. It is obvious that Antonio's brothers share the Marez blood with their father, but in his dream they also tell Antonio that he is a Luna (his mother's side of the family). Then his brothers become scared when they hear the cry of the river, and they say that it is the soul of Lupito calling to them so they ran away. However, Antonio shouts after them saying it is just the soul of the river. His brothers then call him for his help, so Antonio asks the river to grant his brothers their wish: to leave and build their castle on the hill. At the end of the dream Antonio's mother cries as she realizes that Antonia is growing older. Antonio has already seen the future with this dream. However, at this point in the novel his brothers have not even returned home from the war, but he knows that they will leave again right when they get home.     The author describes the fight scene in dramatic, brilliant words, such as how the Griffith “came alive and [dominated] Paret.” Additionally, because of the author’s use of diction, the tempo of the piece is affected.
