Did you know that over 40% of Americas Rivers and 46 percent of America’s lakes are too polluted for fish to live in? Water pollution can also have an effect on animals outside of the water for example animals in the area need a reliable water source, if the water is to polluted for animals to drink and they drink it, it could cause very serious internal injury or even death. Water pollution can also effect animal that eat things from the lakes or rivers such as fish that are in the lakes or rivers. This is just some of the effect water pollution can have on an environment. In Afghanistan according to nation master only 13% of the country can readily access clean drinking water. In lots of places water is scarce in Afghanistan but in others there is plenty of water the problem is the water just isn’t clean enough to drink. Forty-two percent of people in Ethiopia have access to improved water supply. Women and children a lot of the time have to make hours and hour’s trips just to bring clean drinking water to their villages. Cambodia is another country that is majorly affected by water pollution 84% of people in Cambodia do not have access to clean drinking water. In areas where there are lots of farms fertilizers and pesticides can run off into the creeks and rivers close to the farms these can kill the fish or make them sick and make anything that eats them can also get sick from eating the fish. Water pollution in third world countries is going to different that the pollution in the united states because third world countries don’t have the sewage and waste systems that we have this is why clean water is very hard to find in third world countries. In cities you will find water polluted with chemical from factories and also lots of garbage because of people throwing things like water bottles and chip bag on the ground and eventually they get in the lakes or streams. Chemicals from factories also get in the air and can make the rain
