American Dream Freedom

The American dream is an everlasting problem in the world today. Everybody has his/her own opinion of the true American dream, which makes it hard to have an individual outlook of it. Everybody wants freedom to speak his/her mind, but nobody wants to hear something that’s against his/her pretty little bubble. People want to be unified, but they don’t want to put in the work to unify themselves. Everybody wants great change, but won’t take the right steps to meet the requirements to get it. So the American dream is just that, a dream. Freedom is a dream many people have had since the foundation of this country. The form of freedom that we are shown is the power or right to act, speak, or think as they want without hindrance or restraint, but in all actuality the freedom most people have is not being enslaved or imprisoned. This notion simply says we can’t say we own the people, but they people will operate within the confides of our terms. People have been so blinded by the beauty and elegance of the overcoat that they fail to see the rust that’s under it. Nowadays everybody screams for unity and corporation, but fail to put the proper actions into place to achieve a common goal.
Tupac said, “Change. Shit I guess change is good for any of us.” which is true, but on another note Kevin Gates also said, “Anything lost, can be found again, except for time wasted. A vision without action is merely a dream.” These two quotes are both true in essence, but false in our reality. There are people that are trying to change the things they see are wrong, but the vast majority are only speaking their mind with no real action. If something is broken fix it, if not leave it alone is the mindset most people have. This is idiotic because nobody has the whole answer, but with a group of people they’ll be a lot closer to fixing it than doing it
