Amazon Mission Statement
A mission statement is the overall reason why you are doing a particular thing. It is the reason for existing. Every organization should have a mission statement. It is everything your are trying to accomplish now. Your mission should be short and straight to the point. It should also state what you are doing. At times you may not be able to see vision until you start putting in the work. "The vision statement can be too long or too short which can cause inconsistency" (Lucas, 1998). The vision statement is based on what you want for your mission. "It should paint a picture of the future events that you are try to accomplish for the mission" (Mission vs Vision: What's the Difference, 2012) It should inspire you to bring your mission to life. …show more content…
Amazon is one of the top online retailers in the world. They aim to please their customers and to make sure they continue to make a name for themselves. I order from Amazon all the time. Most of the time I'm purchasing clothes and I have no problem ordering a size that fits. Amazon has the description of the item and whether it fits too small, too large, or fit as expected. The return process is very easy and straight to the point. Amazon is also quick in refunding your money if needed. Amazon aims to pleasing their customers and making sure they continue to get your business. I think Amazon met the criteria for their long-term goals. They wanted to make sure their customers were please and that you could buy anything online from them. They have accomplished both goals. Their strategic and tactical planning was well prepared. Their vision statement aims on them becoming the best in the world. Global expansion has led to Amazon becoming the best online retailer in the world. They strive to please every ethnicity, religion, gender, and color. Everything they do is based on the future of their company. " The fulfillment of their statement enhances the electronic business for long-term success in the worldwide market" (Gregory, 2017). Their statement also push Amazon's electronic business to be the best. Amazon gives their customers the opportunity to get their items shipped in two days by signing up for Amazon Prime. Amazon prime is the best idea they could have created. Usually when I'm trying to buy something last minute I use my prime. They make everything so convenient for their customers.
