He’s single-handedly trained a young boy that was less fortunate. And he grew up with immigrant parents so he wasn’t the most fortunate either. This is the inspiring story of MLB (Major League Baseball) superstar Alex Rodriguez’s life. Alex Emmanuel Rodriguez was welcomed to the world on July 27, 1975 and was born in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. Either go to the pro’s, or take the path of college. After much speculation, A-rod eventually went to pal Derek Jeter, who went own the same path that Alex did. Jeter did not go to college and entered the MLB draft, where the New York Yankees selected him. In the end, A-rod entered the 1993 MLB draft where the Seattle Mariners selected him No. 1 overall. After half a season in the minor leagues, A-rod was promoted to starting shortstop on Seattle. He hit third in the lineup. He was followed up by superstar Ken Griffey Jr, who hit 4th. These to would eventually be one of the most powerful duos in the MLB. After consistent numbers of seasons without much championship contention. A-rod wanted to be on a better roster, and desperately wanted to win the World Series( championship). By this time it was late 1999,and closing in on 2000. Now this is where A-rod had gotten his wish granted. He was traded to the Texas
