Al Capone: The Greatest Gangster Of All Time
The prohibition era has longed shaped notorious gangsters and mobsters in Chicago, Illinois, in the 1920’s almost everyone lived in fear of what would be next in the years to come, when Alphonse capone was the greatest gangster of all time. In my research paper I’m am going to talk about Al capone’s family, gang lif, media, rival Bugs Moran and the Saint Valentine's day massacre, his prison life and death.
Alphonse Gabriel Capone was born, January 17, 1899, in Brooklyn, New York. His parents names are Gabriele, a barber, and Teresa Capone immigrants from Italy. The capone family was very poor, but had come to America looking for a better life and stayed in a tenement in New york, ordinary for immigrants. They had no central heating and the only way to keep the house warm in the cold winters was the pot-bellied coal stoves in the apartment. They also did not have private bathrooms or hot water. Al had a simple home life of an Immigrant and since he was born in the United states, he was already a citizen and did not have to go through the process of getting naturalized like his parents.
Capone’s gang life started as early as sixth grade. Capone was a B average student and didn’t do entirely bad in school. He begun falling behind in school because he became more active in gangs and had to repeat the sixth grade. He was kicked out of school at the age of fourteen
