Abortion: Why it's Wrong

How would you feel if someone took away your ability to live? Imagine not having any say in whether or not you want to have a life. Well babies don't have a choice in their mother’s womb. If a woman decides to abort her baby, they can't do anything about their life being taken away from them. Their whole future is demolished. I believe abortion is wrong when committing it for a selfish reason.
One reason why I don't support abortion is because it can harm the mother as well. You are highly risking the mother's life and affecting her. Not only does it have an effect on the USA but, it affects other countries as well like Spain. According to psychiatrist and member of the Right to Life Committee, Carmen Gómez-Lavín states that: "Sixty five percent of women who abort suffer symptoms of post-traumatic stress syndrome after undergoing the procedure." Many women are regretting that choice. Abortion can also result into not being able to get pregnant in the future, many sickness' and even death. Abortion affects both victims in dangerous and physical ways.
Another reason is ABORTION IS MURDER! And I'll bet if you asked an unborn baby if he wants to be murdered, it would tell you to at least wait until it was old enough to fight back.
My last reason is a baby can feel pain.
Even though it may not be fully formed, a baby in the second trimester is still able to feel pain. Why do you think a baby starts kicking it's mom's stomach whenever the father makes stupid noises at it?

I agree with the reasons why they’d find it alright to abort the baby in some ways. The pro-choice believe this due to the fact of not harming the baby from your sickness but another option is adoption! You’ll still be able to let the baby live. For teen pregnancies, there are some religious beliefs as to where you shouldn’t have premarital sex. If you don’t want a child, you shouldn’t have sex at a young age because it’s not always safe. Also, abortions can result into a risk of getting ill, physical damage, stopping you from having a child again or even death. Not only will the baby die, but the mother will as well. One last reason for the side that agrees with abortion is that they believe outlawing it, would be discrimination. Women with a lower income can lead them to into joining in an illegal abortion or a ‘black-market’ abortion. Getting an abortion illegally can cause much more harm to the mother and baby than giving birth. I believe that it is not worth risking the lives of you and your child for a surgery
I believe abortion is wrong when used for not good reasons. There are many other things you can do to prevent abortion. There are reasons why I don't support it. You can use adoption as a solution, it can harm the mother as well, and you are a taking an innocent life. Teenagers can rise awareness and either speak or show how strongly they believe about this topic. Abortion should not be legalized.

It is their own body and should be able to decide what happens to it. In the post-Roe era, many pro-choice advocates are trying to defend the law and explain why they approve of this by “talking about women’s rights, sexuality, and abortion.” 2(p10) One reason why a mother-to-be might have an abortion is that they might not be financially stable to have this child. Another reason why they might decide not to have their child is if they know their child would be in a vegetable state for the rest of their life. However, these are not good enough reasons to have an abortion. Even though the mother might not be able to take care of the child after giving birth, there are many other people in the world that could. Many people are willing to adopt and take care of these kids, especially if they cannot have kids of their own. It is not fair to the child to let the mother decide if they get to live or…

    Why Abortion Is Wrong

Three hundred forty seven babies died since 1973. That is three hundred forty seven humans that could have found the cure of cancer, but because of abortion they never got the chance to. The baby is innocent and has done no wrong. The world got mad at Adolf Hitler and the Nazi because they were killing innocent Jews, but why doesn't the world get upset at the mothers that are killing their own innocent children? Also the baby is a living being. A baby's heart starts beating 18 days from conception. It starts beating at about 3-4 weeks, you won't hear it until around 8 weeks. The baby is also defenseless so therefore it can not protect…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

There are a mass amount of controversies when the word “abortion” is brought into awareness. This dispute has brought about both positive and negative affects on society. Abortion plays a major role in the everyday life of a human. People base their political parties, and even the jobs they choose to work at, all depending whether the host is pro-life or pro-choice. I personally am pro-life. I have made the decision of being pro-life based on multiple observations. Some of these observations include you are murdering your own child, you need to face the consequences of your actions, and to give people who are not able to have their own offspring a chance to be a mother/parent.…

I agree with you, I am also against abortions. Yet I think that clinics such as Planned Parenthood are always labeled as abortion clinics when in reality they also help with many other reproductive issues. I have heard horrible stories about Planned Parenthood but at the same time I know of many people that got help from them in getting regular check ups and such things that could potentially save their life. I wouldn't exactly consider working for Planned Parenthood but in some ways I am not completely against it.…

Since abortion nowadays is an unavoidable topic, and since I am a firm believer in being prolife, I will have no problem finding just what I need to make my argument. I know there are those individuals who feel differently, and I will let them feel and think that way because everyone is entitled to their own opinions. However, when a woman decides that she doesn’t want the baby because of personal…

Because being a parent is not for everyone abortion is something that is used often, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Most people know about the alternative adoption, but it’s found that very few know about interim foster care. Interim foster care provides a loving, nurturing short-term home for a newborn infant (Abortion Alternatives). This provides time and flexibility for a mother while she decides what exactly it is that she wants to do. With interim foster care, the birth mom doesn’t have the pressure of making or finalizing her decision…

I feel as though women should have the right to decide whether or not they would like to have an abortion. Having to go through numerous trials to see if you are mentally capable of having an abortion is really unconscionable interference. There are many factors that contribute to why a mother-to-be would have an abortion. She could have been raped or not be financially ready to have a child. I 100% agree with women wanting to have one. There should be no ones opinion into her decision, if she wants to have one it should be solely her decision.…

First and foremost, abortion allows a woman the right to her own body. Some say that abortion should not be used as a form of contraception, but birth control fails daily. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 6% of all birth controls fail each year. Women on birth control tend to disregard the chance of getting pregnant since the percentage is so low, therefore, the only protection they choose to utilize is the birth control. Women should remain to have the option to abort an undesired fetus. Along with contraception issues, there are other factors to reason with to keep abortion legal.…

I am personally in between pro-life and pro-choice. On the one hand, I agree with their argument in that the mother and the father are responsible for their baby and that abortion should not be a choice. However, I disagree with the part where they say that abortion is unjust even if the baby (fetus) may have a defect. Yet, I believe that the choice of abortion is immoral if women use it as their last resort- contraceptive purposes, but I think that abortion should be allowed if the baby (fetus), which is still in the womb, is predicted to have a side effect such as deformation or diseases like Down’s syndrome. For example, if I were to bear a child and I find out later on that my baby has Down’s syndrome; then, in this case, I will choose to get aborted, not for selfish reasons, but because this defect may hurt my baby in the long run. Besides, my baby is the one that has to live with it for the rest of his/her life and it will definitely have a big effect on them in the future. In short, I am pro-life in most cases, especially if women do not take responsibility for their actions, but I am pro-choice if and only if there are side effects with the baby or the mother that might endanger their lives and of course, abortion is permissible in case of incest and rape.…

People who choose to have abortions done, most of them probably do not know how it is done, or they just do not care due to their own selfishness and ignorance. There are different excuses that they use for having abortions. People who are pro-choice think that a person or mother has the right to do as she chooses with her own body (Being Pro-Choice). They believe that an embryo is not a human and has no rights of their own. Pro-choice campaigners argue that the surgical procedure is completely safe and harmless (Lowen). This is false. Choosing to have an abortion is putting a woman’s body at risk. A mother can have serious complications that can affect their health and their future pregnancies, if able to be pregnant again…
