Accuplacer Testing Process Paper
For identification and control of the service, delegated staff will need to access and verify student’s Accuplacer test scores, as well as any other accepted placement scores that are submitted. These scores need to be noted on the kept spreadsheets and or in the college’s database. Student placement scores need to be coded according to placement or lack of placement, to ensure that students are placed appropriately or properly accepted into a specific program of study. Inspections of the testing process and procedure should be conducted on a designated basis, or when necessary. The inspections should be conducted by supervisors or academic deans; the inspection criteria will be decided on and documented by these groups as well.
For test controls, checks need to be conducted on administrative Accuplacer accounts after software or data maintenance is performed by Accuplacer. This will also need to be done if system requirements change or are modified by

At non-campus locations, this is at the discretion of the testing location. Regarding corrective actions, a root analysis should be conducted to identify and correct any problems with the Accuplacer testing process. These actions should be documented.
Through documentation and audits of the Accuplacer process will be crucial in the overall quality and success of the testing process. Quality assurance in higher education has become the method for establishing a solid foundation for the functionality of the systems and processes that can manage the increasing numbers of students (Morley, 2003, pp. 1).
