Abuse Of Power In The Play Antigone
Power needs to be dealt with immediately in my opinion. Why you may ask? Power can change others in a positive or negative way, since they think they can do whatever they want to do. I realized power changes most people in a very negative way since they think they can do what they want to do without anyone stopping them. In the play Antigone a king that goes by the name Creon abuses his power as king. He abuses his power by making laws that don’t help the society just himself. For making these laws, no one likes him and no one is willing to break theses laws for justice because it will just get them killed. Just as for our tragic hero Antigone died breaking these laws for her brother and for the Gods. Again he abuses his power by killing

    He shows no mercy to anyone even if they are family and in that sense is the one who causes all the suffering. Creon sentence both his nieces, Antigone and Ismene to death, even though he wasn't going to really punish Ismene for breaking the law; he was the reason for his own anangke. Creon felt like he was so powerful since he was the king, but enforcing his rule about burying Polynices was a hamartia.
