One thing you will notice is that the red eared slider's diet tends to change as they mature. Younger turtles are usually omnivores, eating a wide range of vegetation and insects. As they mature, they tend to be more herbivorous, sticking to fruits and vegetables.…

There were many types of ground sloths which lived within the past at approximately 1,000kg, 20 foot in length and 12 feet tall they were known to be the size of elephants! They lived within forests and woods but also lived within the Pleistocene (The Great Ice Age) which made it difficult as most of the land and oceans were covered in ice and glaziers. The Giant Ground Sloths lived in these environments as they were herbivores, as of their peg-like teeth. But they also had beneficial adaptations such as their long-curved claws which were perfect for reaching high branches and stripping leaves, as well as protection from predators. The basis of mutualism is the idea of reciprocity. This traditional assumption is tested in this new study that examines the relationship between Oxpeckers and large mammals in Oxford, Ohio. In this study done by Miami University Professor of Biology Dr. David Russell he divides cattle into two groups; one group has the presence of Oxpeckers the other has the absences, in order to test the amount of tick loads—a food source to the Oxpeckers—that is found on the cattle after a month. He performs this study three times and each time the groups undergo a different treatment and the amount of ticks are counted. According to Dr. Russell (2016) “the presence and absences of the Oxpeckers had no effect on the tick load found on the cattle.” In essence…

Also since it is harder to get food, it is harder to breed or not even breed at all. If they can not breed, then the population will fall and eventually go extinct. We can help the puffins by polluting less so the Earth will not get warmer. Also there have been some some volunteers to help feed the puffins so they can eat, and breed.…
