Preventing children of the poor people, from being a burthen to their parents or countries is referred to as “A Modest Proposal ”, Composed by Jonathan Swift. Swift was born in Dublin, Ireland November 30, 1667 - October 19, 1745. Swift wrote many journals, books, novels and essays containing too many different things but “ A Modest Proposal is an very important essay. Known as Irish author and satirist Swift was influenced by the politics of his time to write “ A Modest Proposal”. The purpose of Swift writing an essay about children of the poor people, was to help them with their outlook on each other and their hope.
