a. Prior Knowledge: Last time, I worked with Nealy was in the summertime. So we talked about the difference between summer and spring. We made a “T-Chart” about with the difference between the two seasons. Since I showed Nealy the title of the story. One of the first things Nealy talked about are the flies and mosquitoes in the summer. Nealy talked about how she hates bugs particular the flies and mosquitoes because they just a pain.
b. During the read aloud. We stopped along the way and discussed different elements in the story.
c. Once we finished the story, Nealy summarized the story. This particular story has a lot of repetition that adds on top of each other. This story remind Nealy of the song, “I know an old lady.” I didn’t think even think about that song, when I selected this story. So we took a few minutes going through the lyrics of the song. b. We then took the first set of rhyming words: past and fast and talked about the spelling pattern of the two words. Next we came up with more rhyming words. Nealy came up with mast and cast. With additional guidance we came up with: last, vast, forecast, blast, broadcast, and telecast. Nealy wrote down all these words on her

In my opinion repetition that takes place in this story is when the blue toothed man and his family talk behind their hands to each other relatively about the two young women. The imagery that best stuck out in my mind is when the two young women "they got up, and tugged and tugged as the train rocked along" (page 145). The blue toothed man thought he was very knowledgeable but he didn't know anything about Canada this shows irony of situation. I found that this book had some good humor, a sentence that I found very humorous is when Mrs. Montrose says to the blue toothed man "it is a pity that in your country there…
