1. Strategy
Walgreens strategy is to focus on serving its customers better by offering low cost alternatives and the best overall value and improve customer’s experience, for example prescription savings club.
Another strategy is to offer organic store growth; it is slower growth offer to big positives like more time to develop the management ranks and focus on improving the customer experience with greater flexibility to invest in opportunities. 2. Structure
Walgreens structure was revised recently, they follow nonhierarchical structure. Walgreens corporate structure is made up of ten separate divisions with multiple career opportunities in each division.
Marketing handles all product and brand marketing for the company. E-Commerce, IT and engineering maintain all hardware and software, along with developing new processes to advance Walgreen's technologically. The facilities and real estate team help locate store fronts and building sites for expansion at Walgreen's. Other corporate departments include the Walgreen's corporate management team, finance, legal, human resources, merchandizing and procurement, sales and strategy and business development. * Walgreens is creative * Walgreens is participatory * Visionary * Communication-rich and * Innovative 3. The employees at Walgreens come from different backgrounds and bring valuable diverse ideas, but a common mission unites them. They are always looking for students and recent graduates who are up to the challenge. There is no typical career at Walgreens, the hard work and goals determine their potential.
They seek an artisan skill set, after more than a century in business. Walgreens knows what makes a great Walgreens team member as well as a person who values change and excitement.
