The Bible also presents examples of God’s transcendence as well as His immanence such as in Genesis where God is portrayed as the Supreme Being who is unequal and separate from his creation. God has been personally active in the world since its creation and yet He is also set apart from it, superior in nature. These two attributes are opposite but complimentary, and need to be balanced in order to understand the concept of God as creator. There are numerous references to God’s immanence in Scripture as seen in Psalm 65:9-13 “You care for the land and water it”. Another example of God’s presence with man is noted in Job 33:4: “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. This also suggests Anthropomorphism when it refers to God as having “breath” like a human being. God’s omnipotence and omnipresence demonstrate God’s immanence, as he has universal presence and power within the world. God’s transcendence is referred to in Isaiah 55:89: “As the heavens than the earth,…

Seeing the whole picture is key here in this book, though on the other hand, it isn’t the theme of the book exactly. Despite what many others may often believe, the theme of the book goes much deeper into what we can comprehend. It’s more throughout the purpose of coming back to God not only in the midst of our, as I mention it again, “Great Sadness”, but also in our joyful times as well. We need both in order to have Him all the time in our lives. So all in all it’s that when you are going through something joyous or depressing of nature, you must let God in as shown…

    Four Spiritual Laws

    • 1028 Words
    • 5 Pages

The first law states that, God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. God will love you in spite of your imperfections. God created you in His own image and likeness. His love for you is unconditional that is why His love is so perfect that no man can ever compare His love to the love that that man experienced toward his partner. Since you are God’s creation and His son or daughter, you are important to Him and He is your valentine. For you to be able to show love, you have to give love also. If you love, you give. In John 3:16, it stated there that God gave His only son because of His unconditional love to the world and that whoever believes in his only son will have an everlasting life. In Jeremiah 29:11, it states that God does not plan bad things for you, that bad things happen because of the decisions that you make and the decisions of others as well. Therefore, you should not blame God if you are experiencing difficulties in life because God already has plans for you and He is just waiting for the right time or moment for everything to happen. It is the demon who gives bad things and removes your happiness. Life is not always pain nor sorrow, happiness nor contentment. Life is a mixture of joy and sorrow. You can never say that your life is abundant because when you say such, you already experienced an everlasting life. It is either you are lacking, just enough or more than enough when it comes to your life. For God said that the world is not your permanent home, it is not a perfect place for you.…

    Reflection Paper

Christianity is a religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. In the last couple terms I have taken a few other religion classes. With taking these classes, I realized many of the preconceived notions I had about Christianity and its true meanings. When looking at myself, I sometimes do not live the way a Christian should. I was not brought going to church, or reading the Bible with my parents or family members. So as of today I have been changing, but not hold heartily given my heart completely to my God. My interaction with each of these courses has had a profound effect of how I would like to change by gaining more knowledge of the Bible and its teachings. My faith and beliefs have been challenged, not for the worse but actually for the better, which showed me how not to fall short of The Lord and his Glory. In this reflection paper, I hope to give insight on what I have learned, and also giving my personal opinions to each topic. My topics of discussion and reflection are first “Did Jesus need to be born of a Virgin? and “Does it matter how Christians liver their life?”…
