However individuals sometimes find it hard to belong to family because they are different cultures, different experiences among the member of the family. It also important to belong to a place especially for migrants because they feel dislocated from their homeland to place such as unfamiliar language and culture. Belonging to family is important because a family shapes an individual’s identity. Despite this, individuals sometimes find it hard to belong to family. Peter and feliks skrzynecki don’t have a strong sense of belonging to each other because they don’t have many cultural commonalities and feliks is not peter not biological father. In the poem feliks skrzynecki he writes “further and further south of Hadrian’s Wall” repetitions and metaphor is used to convey that peter is becoming increasingly distant from his father.
