1. What communication barriers did RadioShack likely experience as a result of terminating employees via mass e-mail?
Terminating employees via mass e-mail is one way communication. The employees cannot accept to get fired by only one e-mail.
2. What do you think RadioShack’s underlying motivation was in using this form of communication?
Firing employee isn’t easy and it must be painful for the employee. However, through radioshack’s acting, they don’t want to argue with employee.
3. What suggestions for the future would you give RadioShack when faced with the need to dismiss a large number of employees?
It is really hard to dismiss a large number of employees. However, if they really need to dismiss their employee, I suggest that they have to speak face to face.
4. How has technology enhanced our ability to communicate effectively? In what ways has it hindered our ability to communicate effectively?
After the technology develops, we can communicate easier without space restraint. We can communicate even opposite side of the earth. It seems make our lives a lot comfort. However, on the other hands, it negatively affects our communication. We don’t think that much as past as we did. We just type whatever we want to say
