Why is Muhammad (pbuh) important to Muslims?

Muhammad (pbuh) is extremely important to Muslims all around the world, and a sacred symbol for the Islamic religion. Pbuh stands for ‘peace be upon him’. This abbreviation is added along with his name all around the world as a sign of respect for him. Not only that, but Muslims do this to give peace upon him. Muhammad was not able to read or write so his was known as an ‘illiterate’ when he was born, and until he died. Because of this, when ‘Allah’ talked to him, he had to preach to other people and then they had to write them down. All of these saying were kept and treasured and then were finally added into books like the Qur’an and the Hadith. This essay will cover just exactly why Muhammad is so important to Muslims today.

Muhammad (pbuh) was by far the most important prophet on Earth to Muslims. He was also the last Islamic Prophet. I believe that one reason why he was important was because of the reason he was the last prophet. I also believe that Muslims treasure him as the last prophet because no other prophet came after him and he left the ultimate saying, rules on the guide to how Allah wanted them to live. Muhammad also received the words of the Qur’an. Muslims believe that the Qur’an contains the words of Allah and that this final revelation marks the completion of Allah’s message. The Qur’an is the Islamic holy book. Being it was Muhammad (pbuh) that received this, he must be pretty important to Muslims. Obviously, this is essential to Muslims or they wouldn’t have enough information on how they were to live in the correct fashion. Muhammad is also the founder of the Islamic Religion so the founder would be obviously very important to the followers of the religion.

He was directly chosen by Allah and to have been chosen by Allah, he must have been really something special. To have the Qur’an revealed to him, as I have already stated, Muhammad was the last prophet that Allah sent to human-kind. Like they say, save the best till last. This also indicates that the revelation he brought to the public has to last a lifetime and forever. It means that it can be used anywhere, anytime. Even A million years after Muhammad lived. So Muslims must see him as the most important of all prophets. And to be just a prophet to God, you have to be extremely dedicated and pure. A Prophet is ‘A person specially chosen by God to receive and pass on his messages’ Muhammad was exactly that. He receives and passed on God’s message.

Muhammad did not have a very easy start to life. His life is seen as an example for Muslims to follow. His father died just before he was born and his mother also dies quite early on in his young life. This meant that Muhammad was an orphan before the age of seven. Now, then, Muhammad lived with his grand-father until he was eight and then his grand-father passed away. Now that three most important people from his life passed away he went to live with his uncle, Abu Talib.

Muhammad looked after his uncle’s sheep business for a long time and then because known as respected and trustworthy. This shows a character from Muhammad that every Muslim should follow and should be. Muhammad then married Khadijah, his first and one of the most important wives.

Muhammad was extremely depressed about the life around him. He hated the way everywhere were full of selfishness and corruption around him. Most people only though about money and no one cared about the welfare of the poor. In the Islamic Religion today, giving to the poor is very essential. This is called Zakat. It is what you give 2.5% of your wealth to those who are much needed. This event probably had something connected with Muhammad’s beliefs on the poor.

In great depression, Muhammad started to recruit a cave on Mount Nur. This is a blessed moment for the Islamic faith as this where the place that the first words of the Qur’an were created and practically all the words too. The angel...
