Veterinary Personal Statement
Throughout the seasons, there have been many reasons why a veterinary career has been pursued. The laborious dedication, and rigorous academic preparation have inflicted significant deliberation upon this career to be ensued. Yet, amidst the abyss there has been a light – a sparkle of joyous excitement prevalent throughout my life, and it has helped to overcome the strife of this rigorous, yet, rewarding journey.

Overwhelming emotions of excitement and anxiousness pulsed throughout my veins. It was two in the morning, but the adrenaline and coffee were in full effect, and my body was alert and attentive. After months of care, and days without sleep, it was time to assist in the delivery of my first foal. The amniotic sac began to emerge, and within the blink of an eye, a large, healthy foal was out and standing, attempting to nurse. She pranced around her mother in full grandeur and vigor. That, I thought, is the best feeling in the world, and for days I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face. Through many such significant and exciting experiences, I have cultivated a sincere appreciation of the challenges, responsibilities and gratifications that are encompassed in a veterinary profession.

An enthusiastic sense of curiosity encouraged my observation of their anatomy, physiology, welfare and health. The local veterinarian would come to our ranch frequently; he of would aid all of my unsettled questions, and allowed me to shadow him as he worked. The expertise of his profession was phenomenal, and inspired myself to consider the field of veterinary medicine as a career. Shortly after that I had mimicked Thus, my journey began, and my enthusiasm and passion has provided the foundation to further explore this
