Traditional Textbooks vs. Hybrid Online Textbooks
Biological anthropology is a course packed with information that is relevant to all of us as human beings and should be both interesting and exciting. A biological anthropologist makes exciting discoveries that change the way we view ourselves today, our understandings of our past, and our future as human beings. Not only should textbooks provide understanding of how the information that ones just read applies to their lives, they need to be able to connect the concepts to their lives as well. College can be an incredibly exciting time in a young person’s life. The last thing that a college student wants to worry about after having to pay an exorbitant tuition fee is finding even more money to pay for college textbooks. Luckily, there is a new option that costs next to nothing: e-books. Now many colleges around the country are giving students the option to purchase inexpensive e-books. Although textbooks are available in both ways traditional textbooks and hybrid online textbooks some may decide to use both to their advantage. Furthermore, others may use one or the other. Each formal technique has an unbalanced number of advantages and disadvantages. The traditional textbook offers multiple advantages as while as disadvantages. Traditional textbooks are easily obtainable, portable, and most importantly none cause of eye-strain. Another factor to bear in mind is that textbooks don't need power to function. They can be read anywhere with sufficient light, and are perfect travelling companions for exactly this reason. Meanwhile, there’re obvious disadvantages of textbooks. Clearly textbooks are bulky and heavy, carrying numbers of books can become a chore. Next you will need light source to read them. Last but not least, if you make notes in your textbook, those notes are there to stay. Now on the other hand, a hybrid online textbook offer many obvious advantages and disadvantages as well.
