World Health Organization

The World Health Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It was first officially made and put into constitution on the 7th of April 1948. It is said they do good and never bad. In 2009 when the influenza pandemic (H1N1) hit the world, the world health organization was accused of spreading "fear and confusion" rather than "immediate information". This resulted in a huge collaboration with other world health authorities and foundations. How did they find the cure and immuniz the world in time without having a global panic of extinction? And how have the world health organization prevented the H1N1 to mutate and never come back in the future?

The early years of the organization were really hard, many pandemics broke all over the world. One of the the special eradications they made was the eradication of smallpox and polio, the issue is that polio has not yet been fully eradicated since the case of 2014 where there is a polio outbreak in Pakistan and the Middle East (http://www.huffingtonpost.com). The world health organization still is trying to fight off Cholera and Malaria, they have been the remainder problems since the W.H.O’s founding in 1948. The example of the outbreak of ebola in Guinea, is a perfect representation of what they do and how they do it. the outbreak of ebola began this year in the month of march, they were one of the first to react, they did their normal procedure in Quarantining the disease in one location if possible (http://www.bbc.co.uk).

Troubles, the W.H.O has had many situations in where the disease has gotten out of their hands. The main cause in how diseases of high and low caliber get to such power is because they get ignored by big organizations like the W.H.O and many more. An example to bring back is the ebola virus, they so far believe it is contained and that things are alright, no! they don't show the spread of fear in west africa, that ebola has caused. Ebola is highly contagious and hard to contain in small areas. The W.H.O has announced that the situation has been put into calm, their was a new report on ebola in sierra leone, it is said the cause of the new spread is that a women attended a funeral of a ebola victim and cough the disease (http://www.nytimes.com). This tells me that the W.H.O is not taking precautions on the dead by ebola, the problem with ebola is that it is a 90% fatality rate if you caught the disease, but is some way that women got fairly close to the dead so she can catch the disease, and note that ebola is spread by body fluids!(http://www.who.int). take this into consideration in how the W.H.O is taking a highly dangerous disease and not giving the importance it needs.

Success of the World Health Organization, the W.H.O has had many successes and positive things mores than negative. What they have done is vaccine as many people as possible to prevent the preventable easy to catch diseases, for example tetanus which is caught by rusty metals coming to contact with the human body, polio a disease that paralyzes the body at a young age, hepatitis B is the disease that gives swelling and irritation to the liver, influenza well known as the flu and meningitis is a bacterial infection of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord (http://www.cdc.gov). This is the main reason in why every year you get your medical check up with doc, So you can get your immunization annually, and the immunization of a disease depends in what country you live.

The controversies, one of the W.H.O’s biggest controversies has to be the flu pandemic controversy, it started with the W.H.O declaring a “false pandemic” in 2009. The false pandemic was one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century, it started with small campaigns in mexico city. from their, the W.H.O spoke about many humans of the region of mexico, have contact with the flu or my already have it. Experts and many people believe that the pandemic had financial ties to it. The H1N1 virus was one of the most feared pandemics of the century, they say they gave too much attention to it and that it was really as deadly as feared. we can connect his with the media, the media likes to spread fear in the population for attention and popularity in their news, what the media knows about us the people is that we believe the news they produce and illustrate and we create the huge panic, huge panic for them equals money! So at that point in 2009 with all the money they were making off vaccines and drugs they had a scandal in their hands (http://www.sciencedaily.com).

The World Health Organization has their ups and downs at times, but always manage to be at the top in the end. People all over the world wonder how they do the things they do, they prevent life threatening and life ending diseases with one simple shot, note that one shot is for one disease or more, the W.H.O educates mankind in how to survive. They can educate us by injecting fear in to our craniums or pure hard facts that are the truth of nature, but they will find a subtle way in how to educate us. Every year they come up with something new, new version of a shot, a treatment for a disease and what we all like to hear a cure! Luck and mother nature isn't always on the W.H.O’s side, the nature of diseases at times make it hard for the W.H.O to get matters into control, but manage at times to keep calm. we can support them or riot against them but we must be thankful for the good they have done! and here is a quote that I can possibly connect to the W.H.O “Mother Nature is a Serial Killer. No one's better, more creative, but, like all Serial Killers she can't help the urge to want to get caught. And what good are all those brilliant crimes, if no one takes the credit? So she leave crumbs. Now the hard part, why you spend a decade in school, is seeing the crumbs for the clues they are. Sometimes the things you thought were the most brutal aspect of the virus, turns out the be the chink in it's armour... and she loves disguising her weaknesses as strengths ” -World War Z film 2013. This quote was said by a health worker at the W.H.O in the movie, he said this because he believes that mother nature is the pure cause of diseases and that she leaves the, crumbs (clues to cure) all over the world so the W.H.O can find them and decipher them.
