The Day in Which Everything Went Wrong
The Day in Which Everything Went Wrong
I will never forget the day in which everything went wrong in my life. Everything that could go wrong did. The cursed day was sometime in September last year. Firstly, I woke up late in the morning because my alarm clock did not ring. So I missed the bus to school and had to walk to school instead. I dislike walking to school because there were many dogs in my neighbourhood and some of them were very fierce.
As I was walking to school, I accidentally stepped on a puddle of water on the road. It was a puddle of muddy water, so the splash made my uniform wet, dirty and smelly. My shoes and socks were also soaked in muddy water. I thought that was enough to ruin my entire day.
When I finally reached my school, I quickly entered my class. My teacher scolded me because I was late and my clothes were dirty. I made her even angrier when I told her I left my Mathematics homework at home. She was very strict teacher and expected all her students to hand up their work on time everyday. Therefore, she was very upset. She also shouted at me. It was so embarrassing to be scolded by a teacher in front of the entire class. I have never been shouted at by a teacher before. Some of my classmates laughed at me.
Soon, it was recess time. I realized that I left my wallet at home. So I borrowed some money from my friend. I decided to buy a bowl of noodles. My bad luck streak continue because the fish balls were bad. So I did not eat the fish balls but I finished the noodles because I was angry. After eating the bowl of noodles, I felt thirsty but I did not have enough money to buy myself a glass of water, so I drank some water from the tap.
Finally, the bell rang and school was dismissed. I was relieved that the day was over because so many bad things had happened. Then, my friends asked me to play football with them in the field after school. I joined them as I needed to relieve my stress. After half an hour of playing, there was a slight

It was two days until the first game of my sophomore high school football season. My team was pumped! we were going to play Glenville a team that embarrassed us the previous, a battle we relentlessly prepared for since the last game of our freshman year. The sun was beaming off my pads, radiating the heat to make practice seem even worse then it already was. I was exhausted and looking forward to the end of my last sweat poring practice for the week. Our team was repetitively executing plays to make sure they were like second nature to us on Friday. Then, creating an unknown peace, Wheeler yells, "Last Play!" The…

In seventh grade I wanted to tryout for volleyball. I was very nervous because I had never played it before. I was super happy when I found out all my friends and I made the team. We had a lot of practices in December to get ready for games in January. I was really nervous for our first game. Our first game was supposed to be right after christmas break ended, but we had a snow day so it was cancelled. I wished it hadn’t been so I could just get it over with, but i was gonna have to wait. We were scheduled for another game later that week. I woke up with a phone ringing and an answering machine saying that school was cancelled due to boiler issues. I sat in bed thinking I had once again gotten lucky and we had no game, I was wrong. We were…

One day, in June, I was at tumbling class. It was about 80 degrees and sunny. It smells like sweat, but I'm used to it. An old, dingy and torn apart gym. While I was waiting, I looked around, and from the window, the sky became darker and darker as the cloud covered the last sunlight. I couldn’t breathe. In about twenty minutes, most parents were there. Then the head teacher started to talk about how seriously we did. She told in front of all these people: “she was the one who cheated teachers and brought her friends out of school. We teachers are responsible for your children’s safety in the school. But who is responsible for that once they are out? Jasmine, can you?” I was shocked. I did not think about that the teacher would blame me for all of this. Everyone in the office was staring at me, and my parents as well. I was ashamed, so ashamed that I wanted to hide, and I can’t stop my tears out. The teacher continued and talked to all of students: “I believed you because you are fifth grade. I thought you are old enough to distinguish right or wrong. But now, I am really disappointed at you guys.” We were still in elementary school, and we were so young to comfort ourselves in this situation. Most of the girls in our group began to sob like me.…

Within the month of February while my teacher was away on maternity leave, my French class was given a new substitute teacher that would replace my original teacher till she returned. The teacher we were given for the time being seemed inexperience. The class that I was once eager to attend became a part of my day that I dreaded. Every single day I sat in class doing nothing and listened to her constantly yell at the students that chose to misbehave. Things began to become routine, students would sit in class doing nothing as she yelled at the students who purposely disrupt the class.…

The season was almost over and I got to play the last few games and I remember what it felt like to sit on the bench and watch my teammates play without me. My grades improved but I could not make up the time I missed from softball but it did teach me a lot about consistency, trust, honesty and much more. I knew my mom guys were just trying to do what was right for me and now that I look back at it I realized how much I put them through and it all could have been avoided but it was a lesson in learning for me. It gave me a different perspective on the way I looked at things and it was all to my mom guys. When I used to think about school I would think it was a waste of time but now it is very important to me and not only because you need good grades to get into college, because it will only benefit me as an individual and it is up to me on how I want to live my life and if you work hard in school now it will only make your life easier in the future because if I followed the path that I was on I would end up nowhere in life and I think that is the lesson my parents were trying to teach me all along and if it wasn’t for how…

Attending elementary school is one of the most preceptive moments of a child's life. By both teachers and students, I was considered a “teachers pet.” A majority of my teachers had always chosen me as a classroom helper or as a positive behavioral example for the rest of the classmates to mimic. My second grade teacher, Mrs.Minor disliked my goody-two-shoes attitude, and what seemed purposely at the time, belittled me. Mrs.Minor yelled at me for correcting her or for finishing my work too quickly. she allowed me to feel inferior. I was frightened of her and this made me feel awful about my education, myself and especially her. I was so afraid to go to school because of her words and attitude towards me that my mother had to volunteer in my class so that I would go back. This memory of Mrs.Minor has been embedded in my mind until this day, because of her attitude I am more shy and quite in school. This is a clear example of how teachers can affect a child's education.…
