THE CRAZE FOR FASHION
The Craze for fashion

“A well dressed man is whose clothes you never notice.” Are the words of William Summerset. Yes, my dear friends ‘fashion’ is what empties youngsters pocket.
Undoubtedly looks are an important part of personality and fashion if used properly aids us. Fashion is an art and is very interesting but what is more interesting is to observe it being used inappropriately.
The bus stand which I use to come to school teaches me about the latest trends. Some of so called ‘cool’ ladies run for the bus balancing on 3-4 inched heeled shoes, clinging on to their dress coloured handbag all at the same time. I guess this why it is called ladies are better at multitasking.
Practicality is very important. No matter what the latest fashion is. No fashion designer is going to attend our sprained ankle or pneumonia if we catch it.
A latest trend is body piercing and tattooing. This my dear friends is a fashion that changes. Making permanent tattoos on your body can have you regret later when it goes out of fashion.
Cosmetically based salons are also now getting busy these days and as a result Dr. a lady ridgeway doctor was reported death during a surgery around her eyes to reduce wrinkles. My dear friends none of us in this world including all celebrities are permanent. Let age do its job.
Beauty pageants like Miss Sri Lanka are being witnessed by the upper class people is not because they understand the art of beauty its just because they want to be ‘in the swim’
My message here is not to disrespect fashion, which I appreciate. It’s an art, but we must understand that we cannot wear everything we see on catwalk. Whatever the trend is we should first considerif it suits us, our culture? Does it have a negative effect on our image? Finally how practical is it?
Fashionable mean does not being inappropriately dressed.

Our current Fashion is the build-up of many trends that were brought into this world by designers with so many wonderful talents. It started in the 40s when fashion became more about style then dresses. In the 40s the biggest thing was blue jeans and headscarves. In the 50s the biggest thing was cat-eye sunglasses and varsity jackets. In the 60s the biggest thing was go-go boots and big hair. In the 70s the biggest thing was bell-bottom jeans and blazers. In the 80s the biggest thing was huge earrings and fanny packs. In the 90s the biggest thing was short skirts and skinny jeans. Then from the 2000s on our fashion has not really changed. I will say one thing though,…

The 1980’s fashion is back, and its success is rooted in the similar economy we have with the 1980s. As a society we are deciding to “wear our personality”, rather than our pocket books and the fashion industry is staying alive by following this trend.…

Fashion, as it always has, clearly makes a statement. Many kids these days feel that it is a necessity to be “dressed to the nines” or to wear what everybody else is wearing. For example, high school aged girls today, in my opinion need to have at least one pair of UGGS. To me, it doesn’t make sense to wear a pair of wool lined leather boots when it is 85 degrees outside, but “everybody else is doing it, so I should to.” Boys seem to think that they need to have their pants as baggy as possible to a point where their underwear is exposed for everybody to see and they need to hold on to their pants as they are walking through the halls. Perhaps I am old fashioned…

Choosing the right clothes can provoke a drastic change on the way people see you. Anyone can get attention when entering a room or attract people with the same interest just because of the way they put clothes on. Clothes tell who we are in the society; it gives others a hint of what we want, what our needs, talents, or goals are. Without a doubt, clothing can build as much as it can destroy our image. Perhaps, clothing the only visible clue, the silent but very powerful communicator of our personality”…

    Judgement on Clothing

Clothing most certainly can indicate what financial group one finds themselves in. Even if someone isn't fashion forward perhaps, people shop in stores that their financial situations affords them. Torn and worn clothing often indicates a poor financial situation. While clothing that is new, stylish and designer brand is most likely worn by someone who is well off. Between these two polar opposites are many shades of gray, from those who have less to those who have more. It is possible, even probable, that someone of great financial stability won't wear expensive clothes. However, it is very unlikely that someone who is in the lowest financial bracket will have the chance to wear expensive clothes. So by playing the odds, clothing can be useful in defining wealth. Even if it isn't an exact science, odds are those who can afford more expensive clothes will chose to wear what they can afford.…

First of all, masses of people inclined to evaluate the financial condition of a person by his external appearance. I strongly disagree with this statement. To elaborate, there are so many people who are in poverty but always decorated and elegant, since excluding critical situations, everyone can earn enough money to purchase attire or a garment. Conversely, upper-class or middle-class people have opportunity and wealth to buy desired clothing; however sometimes due to their personalities they cannot afford themselves to wear these. For example, although I have attractive and expensive clothing in my cloakroom, I tend to have on more simple and comfortable ones. As a result, no one can deduce that I am rich or poor.…

Fashion is a popular way of behaving which includes a popular style of clothes, hair, etc, at a particular period of time.Fashion began from the early stone age and lots of upheaval have occurred till now.In the early age people used to be half naked and wear dresses made from animal skins, leaves etc. and carry different weapons like bows arrows, spear heads which resembles that they are following the fashionable trends present at that time. I was highly influenced by what French designer Coco Chanel once said , “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”Fashion and our lives is interlaced with one another and it is reflected by our contemporary life activities.…

    Clothing and Fashion

There is an old saying, “You are what you eat” and in fashion this consists also as, “You are what you wear.” Clothing is often an expression of spirit and character, so there is nothing wrong with finding a look that suits you. Everyone is an individual and your clothes can help you to express your innermost thoughts, your kindliness and your good feelings toward yourself. Fashion can mean many different things to different people but above all fashion is a leeway to ones character. According to Tiwa Savage (2011) in the article, “Fashion is an extension to ones character,” she states, “To me whatever you put on reflects your mood, and if I am feeling glamorous I wear something that is glamorous, when I am feeling more relaxed I put on things that make me feel relaxed; so basically fashion is an expression of your person (p.1).” Your personal mark is the one that really counts and can make a difference by connecting two strongly related worlds that apparently seem totally incompatibles: our inner world and our exterior image. Every texture, color and other artificial shape becomes a way of emphasizing different personality aspects.…
