Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet

Part 1

For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in Health for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health:

Physical health mean kind of activity require healthy activity like physical exercise. For example, running every morning one mile or two mile will be reduce weight and body fat.

Social health:

This kind of activity social health mean person should interact with other people. If person will not active as social, person could be depress or lean to other mental diseases.

Intellectual health:

This activity reflect how much person intellectual knowledge. If person is intelligent that make the person more successful in life.

Environmental health:

Environmental health mean, what kind of environment or society around us. If person live in bad or hard neighborhood could be effect the person’s mental and physical health.

Emotional health:

One of the important activity in our life is emotional health. This reflect the how we express our feeling with other people. If person will not express or cannot express feeling could be harm the mental or physical health.

Spiritual health:

Spiritual health mean person’s any kind of beliefs that lead to mental satisfaction. Spiritual health is important for person mental health.

Part 2

In approximately 125 to 200 words, describe health and wellness in your own words using the ideas and concepts for each of the six dimensions of health.

I think all the six healthy dimension are important for the person life including all six, physical, social, intellectual, environmental, emotional and spiritual health. If we want to maintain healthy life style for physical health increase long life. For best physical health exercise daily, healthy diet, physical medical exam on time etc. if person is socially active and share the feeling or emotions with other could be healthy for the person. Being intelligent and taking wise decisions make person life easy and successful. Living in peaceful environment effect positive on the person life. Living in bad environment could be harmful for physical or mentally for person. Emotional health make person strong and well self-control. Spiritual beliefs mean how person satisfied by other religion or believes.

    Physical health is obtained by following a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and limiting exposure to toxins (drugs, alcohol, pollution). It is also important to have oral and physical examinations at regular intervals and to practice preventative measures to combat possible illnesses.
