While in the middle of speaking, he pulled the pole out of the fire and almost immediately the tip of the pole broke off and fell to the ground.
We all sat in silence, and in a few moments we began bursting with laughter after we realized what had just happened. Morgan Morgan began apologizing and saying he didn’t mean for it to occur, and I kept dismissing it and forgiving him. Afterwards, he taped the pole together in hopes that it would last for the remainder of the trip. Ironically enough, it lasted me the rest of the trip and made it home with me in the airplane. The reason the poles mean so much to me lies in how much of an impact this event made on me. I felt glad the poles were made usable again, but I realized that they were still owned by my brother. As a result of this, my number one priority became returning the poles either together or in fragments. Upon my arrival, my brother assured me that I could keep the poles and did not care whether I lost them or not. As much of a relief this was, it still serves as a reminder for me today that I should care about the possessions I
