The legislative tasks and the overall role of the judiciary in shaping public policy was that the legislative branch main task is to create laws. All laws, regulations, and policies are designed by, voted upon by, signed by, and enacted by the federal legislature and the chief execute. They apply a variety of subdivisions to collect information in order to decide what the effects of bills will be and if it is a reasonable explanation to the problems. The judicial branch outlines public policy through court cases. Class-Action Suits are mainly effective for determining public policy because they affect a great number of people. Technically, a distinct court case can change public policy forever, such as Brown v. Board of Education, which put an end to school segregation in 1954., 1999) There are not actual laws or polices or regulations for pregnancy or infants really, other than the basic knowledge every mother should know during these times. Laws do not effect WIC’s decision making and its day-to-day operations, however basic nutrition and health information does. WIC is a government program designed to help pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children stay healthy and get their daily nutritional values. It is also a way to keep mothers and pregnant women informed on how to keep you and your babies as healthy as possible and warns them of any new health risks discovered or how to stay healthy. They offer a variety of information to why it’s best to breastfed your baby, but also why formula is fine too. They tell you what foods are best for you and contain the highest amounts of vitamins and minerals, and how much you need for each individual. They help you transition children from bottles to sippy cups and so forth, and inform you when babies can start eating certain solids or doing other things on their own. They teach you how important dental hygiene is, and also go as far as to show you what normal poop is for a newborn baby. They have tons of resources...
