I Will Do It Tomorrow Analysis

Think about the following statement ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’, and how often you’ve told yourself that. Think about all the times you had the opportunity to complete a task and decided to instead put it off till tomorrow. We’ve all done it at some point in our lives where we just wanted to relax and forget about a particular task, and decided to leave it to another day and take the time we have now and just relax. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though, and taking a break once in a while is indeed a good thing, but this kind of behavior being demonstrated over a prolonged period of time is a particularly nasty habit that many of us fall into nowadays. The side effects of this can include stress, anxiety and down the road could have some serious repercussions. Putting of class assignments, bill payments, and even simple errands can quickly get out of hand....

Over the course of my life there have been many situations where I’ve had to complete a task in a particular amount of time and failed to do so. I constantly tell myself that I’ll do it tomorrow, and yet tomorrow never comes. The next day I tell myself the same thing, and so on and so forth until the time comes where I truly begin to regret my lack of initiative. I begin to realize that had I simply completed the task (in this case class assignments) than I would feel much more secure about my position in my academic life.
