“What Have You Learned About Yourself”
There have been several things I have learned about myself that I did not know. Comming to Pearl River Community College has taught me several different qualities about myself I had no idea I had in me. Hybrid Orientation has taught me so much more about myself as well. Two major things that have helped me learn about myself have been SiGi^3 and VARK. SiGi^3 and VARK are two online websites that help you find a major and your unique style of learning.

SiGi^3 is one of the online programs that helps students find a major or a career path. Using SiGi^3 has been really helpful because I was one of the students who was “undecided on a major” and by me using SiGi^3 and taking the survey, it helped me realize what career path I wanted to go down. According to my SiGi^3 results my career path is Education, which I am really excited about. I have always wanted to be a teacher but I never knew whether or not I wanted to go into Education until this survey confirmed it.

VARK is the other online program that shows what type of learning style you have. I honestly did not have a clue what my learning style was until VARK showed me I was a visual learner and it showed me different types of studying techniques that I could use. Without me taking the VARK survey I would never know what my learning style was. I really have enjoyed myself here at Pearl River Community College and have learned so much about myself that I did not know. I cannot wait to reveal the rest of myself throughout my college years. Not only has SiGi^3 and VARK helped me but this Hybrid Orientation class

has helped me as well. I feel that I will be very successful throughout my college years because of this class. I cannot wait to see how well I can use the materials I have learned in this class to help me for when I transfer to an university.
