To begin with, players can suffer major brain damage. In the passage "Weighing the risks" it states former players may suffer several types of brain disorders from concussions and severe impacts from tackle. Football players walk away because they know that playing could cost them their lives and health. Players keep getting stronger and faster so the injuries are rising due to tackles and headbutts and more. There are frequent head and body injuries that can become long term injuries. Football is a contact sport so it has always been dangerous but people have had hundreds of concussions a year from games and practice. More players are reporting symptoms of injuries than ever before it states in source two "Let them play". In source three "The professionals' points of view" it states football can inflict serious injuries. It also says "That you are playing a game that by its nature it is not safe." Football in general just isn't safe.
In conclusion, sports can be very dangerous in many ways. Sports are just getting too violent for people to play. In the future sports should be more controlled and less violent. Violence is never the way to
