Reward works as the important element in an organization because it is helping the organization to increase the working performance of the employees by motivating the employees to contribute and giving full commitment to their jobs.
There are eight features in a reward system design, which are the relationship between job based and performance based, market position, internal equity, hierarch, centralization, rewards mix, security, and seniority (Cummings & Worley, 2009). The top manager of AirAsia Bhd can give rewards based on the job performance of the employees. For example, the employee in AirAsia Bhd is qualified to be given reward if the working performance of the employee reaches the demand of the job description.

Skill- and knowledge-based pay system is making payment by doing comparison with other company and focus on the skills of an employee. The company will pay the wages based on the skills, experiences and knowledge of an employee. In this situation, AirAsia Bhd manager can offer the wages which is higher than other company offered to the employees by making consideration based on their qualification and working experiences. The higher wages offered by the manager can increase the level of pay satisfaction of an employee. Thus, the working performance of the employees in AirAsia Bhd can be increased by reducing the number of staffing needs, absenteeism and …show more content…
