Recycling plays an important role in saving our environment due to the fact that it reduces the demands for waste treatment capacity and lowers waste streams filling up to landfills. Recycling has a tremendously accelerated growth because it is combined with new technologies. The use of technology in recycling devises commonly practical methods that not only help facilitate recycling processes but also improve the efficiency of the recycling that makes it to be more beneficial for both customers and economy.

In “The Truth about Recycle,” the economist introduces two systems called “Single Stream” and “TiTech” that provide the efficiency and convenience for recycling by making recycling become easier for customers and encouraging them in recycling. The advancement of these programs –TiTech “with more than 1,000 of which are now installed worldwide,” can increase the efficiency of the recycling due to the fact that it is a multifunctional sorting system that uses spectroscopy to categorize trash and different recyclables; moreover,-“Single Stream” is a system that can recover a wide range of pieces of material from different waste streams, household waste and other sorting tasks; Single stream recycling makes it simple and easy to recycle in your office or households by running an efficient recycling route.

The advancement of technology facilitates recycling tasks because customers do not have to put much recycling efforts due to the fact that they just put all recyclables including paper, plastic, or metal into a bin unless using TiTech’s system; moreover, it promotes individuals or households participating in recycling processes because it is not waste of time for sorting recyclables.
