In the article The Extraordinary Science of Addictive Junk Food, Michael Mossfeb discusses the issues concerning the causes of obesity in America. Mossfeb gives many examples of how the different food companies use different methods to convince people to buy their products. For example, Oscar-Myer found ways to get their products into the family household by exploiting mothers that have little time to prepare meals, and children who want control of what they eat. The same problem occurs with Coca Cola. They purposefully make the price of their product low so that they can target low income families.
