Prayer And Disposition

Father God thank you for loving me and having so much patience with me. You always protect me and shield me – even from myself when need be. I ask You, in the Name of Jesus, Father, to open my eyes and my heart and my head to this task before me and the meaning of Your Word. Father God, still my thoughts and allow me to focus on this until I see it through. You know the condition of my heart, Father, cleanse me of everything right now Father, forgive me for my shortcomings and attitudes, fill me with Your Love and Understanding for Your Word, for my family, in all things. Amen.

28:1-8 Mary Magdala and (the other) Mary witness an earthquake and the angel roll back the stone to the empty tomb
28:9-10 Jesus meets the women on the road and He speaks and they worship Him; He tells them to tell the disciples He will meet them in Galillee

28:16-17 Jesus meets the Twelve on a mountain in Galilee
28:18-20 Jesus commissions the Twelve to go and make disciples baptizing in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit B. Main Divisions of Mark 16

16:1-7 Mary Magdalene, Mary (the mother) of James, and Salome go to the tomb and find it open, an angel sitting inside who instructs them to tell Peter and the other disciples that He is risen and will come to them in Galilee. 16:8-11 Mary Magdalene tells the grieved disciples but they don't believe. 16:12-13 Jesus appears to two disciples and again, the others did not believe it when they heard.

16:14-16 Jesus appears to them all at table; chastising them for their non-belief then commissioning them to tell the world the good news and to baptize the believers, warning that non-believers will be condemned 16:17-18 Gifts of believers: drive out demons, speak in tongues, handle serpents, heal the sick, not grow ill from poisonous drink 16:19 The ascension of Jesus to the right hand of God. 16:20 The disciple went forth “while the Lord kept working with them.” C. Main Divisions of Luke 24

24:1-6 The women go to the tomb and meet 2 angels standing beside them as they stood in the empty tomb 24:7-10 The angels reminded them of Christ's words and they remembered and returned and told the disciples. It was Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, Joanna and other women who reported these things 24:11-12 The disciples did not believe. Peter ran to the tomb to see for himself 24:13-31 Jesus appears to two disciples, one named Cleopas and walks and talks with them on their way to Emmaus. He stays with them and sits to table with the two disciples and upon breaking bread and blessing it, the disciples recognize Him as Jesus. 24:32-35 The two (the other seems to be Peter) go back to Jerusalem to tell the others what happened

24:36-46 Jesus shows them his wounds and asks for food. He eats broiled fish and opens their minds so they can believe and understand. 24:47...
