Should Illegal Immigrants Be Deported
Do the so called “illegal immigrants” really deserve to be deported back to their homeland, especially when there are so many different opportunities in which they can benefit our nation? Immigration throughout the U.S. has been an issue for a couple of years now. The rate at which illegal immigrants coming over has dwindled down exponentially over those years too. Yet immigrants shouldn’t be deported just because they want to come over the border and begin a new start. Allowing them to stay and just getting rid of the criminals that have came over and caused problems for the society could benefit the nation. While doing my paper I discovered that illegal immigrants come from everywhere not just from cross the border, the government tax revenue, the increase in jobs from the extra tax money, and sending the problem immigrants back to their homelands. Illegal immigrants come from everywhere not …show more content…

It is no secret that Illegal immigration has become a public policy issue in this country, considering a growing population and a threat to national security. But not all undocumented immigrants are the same and it isn’t fair to view them as the same- “UNDOCUMENTED”, making it okay to send them back where you think they belong. Yes, some are criminals, some do pose a risk to national security, but there are others that do the exact…

When one place has better resources, opportunities, and living conditions than the current place, it makes sense for someone to migrate to the better land. That better land in today’s world is the land of opportunity-- America. This nation is one founded on immigrants. The founding fathers came from Europe with hope and ambition for a better life for them and their children. Today, people immigrate for the same reason. The difference is that immigration is now looked at with a negative eye. Immigrants now are often blamed for the hardships of American citizens. Immigrants receive accusations of stealing the jobs of American citizens. They also face discrimination and are under represented in congress. Immigrants are also blamed for overwhelming democratic support, which deteriorates the accuracy of who the American citizens want for president. Despite all of these negative views on immigrants, immigrants are not actually that bad for America. People who see immigrants as toxic for America fail to remember all of the times they have benefitted America. The benefits Mexican immigrants bring to the US outweigh the harm they may bring.…

“Immigrants create San Francisco” is common sense people around the world acknowledge to praise the contributions immigrants have made. America, as we all know, positioned as the most prosperous and humanistic country in the world, gives immigration a very crucial role due to its function forming the diverse culture of America. Every year, thousands of immigrants move to the United States, seeking superior living conditions such as employment, welfare and education. However, that movement inevitably raises a bunch of social issues, of which the most apparent and controversial one is illegal immigration. Based on this situation, debates about immigration reform were fiercely triggered in public recently. My topic is how to treat illegal immigrants in immigration reform, and the argument is mainly divided into two groups. A group of people thinks illegal immigrants are more risky than we think. They must be deported. While another group believes that the advantages illegals bring to America outweigh any harm they do, so Americans should treat them with justice and give them a pathway to citizenship. Based on the information I have gathered during my previous assignments, I support the latter position.…

The Statue of Liberty, who is also known as the Mother of Exiles, shows the sign the exiles of their countries are welcome is the United States, and they can be given a second chance at create a better life for them and their families (Lazarus). A question stands now about whether or not we should start restricting the people who come to the United States today. If we wished to restrict everyone coming to America from their countries that would break what the Statue of Liberty’s point of existence most people would say off the back, but last time some people remember she only stood for the exiles of other countries. If the lives of all the immigrants that come to the United States are truly exiles then that would mean that all of them had a difficult life and struggled everyday to live. If this many people are coming here because of that reason then the country they came from sure must run a terrible government system to handle their people. So are all the immigrants coming to America actually exiles, or are there some who come here so they can just live here.…

As more and more Americans head to college and aspire to get high paying white collar jobs we are experiencing a massive scarcity of blue collar workers. Everyone is chasing a college education; hence we have no one to the low paying, back breaking jobs. Illegal immigrants provide the backbone for the American labor force. If we are to deport them, it would create a huge shortage of laborers causing the economy to come to a standstill. America has been a nation that has been built by immigrants and we need to stay true to our tradition of welcoming immigrants and providing them with a fair chance to chase the American dream. Immigrants come to United States and work extremely hard to provide for their families and repay them by threatening them of deportation and paying them wages well below the minimum wage.…

It’s true illegal immigration cost money for patrolling the border and deportation, but patrolling is also for a requirement for national security. Think about it, illegal immigration creates jobs for Americans like the border patrol. Also immigrants do pay taxes like; sales taxes, and paycheck taxes. Immigrants pay about the same as American citizens, although they do not receive the same incentives as Americans. According to the Washington post “about 46.4% of U.S households don’t pay federal income tax” (Brad Plummer). A factual argument against immigration is to the crime rate in the U.S, due to illegal immigrants. The Washington examiner states that 74.1 of drug tracking were caused by illegal immigrants. If immigrants were held under the constitution like an average citizen then they will be more responsible of their actions and the ones who consistently break the law will have their residency…

nt, Barack Obama once said- “ For more than 200 years, our tradition of welcoming immigrants from around the world has given us a tremendous advantage over other nations. It’s kept us youthful, dynamic, and entrepreneurial.” America is the melting pot of the world full of diversity and curiosity. After all, America is a nation of immigrants, which at some point all had one goal in life in which was to make it to the land of opportunities. America is referred to the land of opportunities for one reason and that is because it offers those with dreams opportunities to pursue them. Many of these people come to the United States to make a better life for their families and even themselves. So why should they be living in constant fear of being deported if they haven't committed a crime or even possess a criminal record. Immigrants with no criminal record or serious offenses should be allowed to work…

Imagine living in the U.S. as an illegal immigrant with a nice family and a job then BANG! That person does one small thing wrong he, or she could get deported from their families and anything they ever worked for just because they didn’t have a green card. secondly In the U.S. there are many illegal immigrants being deported from their families and losing everything just because becoming a U.S. citizen is a lot harder then some people would think. In summary illegal immigrants should be able to stay in the U.S. because it is inhumane to deport these individuals from their families, across the U.S. undocumented workers perform a critical role in U.S. Economy; lastly, amnesty is not the best solution to our immigration problem but it is the only reasonable solution.…

If illegal immigrants prosper it is because they have earned it. They stole no one’s job they have worked slowly and build their empire. If some illegal immigrants have succeeded than actual residents or citizens it is because their hard work payed off. Their hard work of working long hours without overtime pay and the cost of late night ambitions. These are only few examples of why illegal immigrants deserve to be here in the United Stated. Illegal immigrants are willing to loose every right they have, risk their lives, and get paid a misery to be here. In fact, illegal immigrants are called Mojados which in english means wetbacks. Wetbacks because we swim a river to get here. Little do people know that people from Central America are called 3 Veses Mojados. They are called 3 Veses Mojados because they have to cross more than one border. Just imagine the high risk it is to cross from Mexico to the United States now only imagine from Central America. Immigrants who are in the United States deserve to stay here. The government should not be hasty about kicking them out and help them stay in America if the reach a certain requirement. The process would include for immigrants to have a background check, paying taxes, paying a penalty, learning english, and they would have to wait just like other people who want to come into america have to wait. Their shouldn’t be a fight about who is and who isn't allowed to come into the U.S. anymore, anyone should be able to America and feel safe. Deportation needs to end, their shouldn’t be a right or wrong on what race you are if it’s hispanic or muslim, there shouldn’t be argument in this. Immigration is not a bad thing for America either, the economy rises and it adds jobs, over 9 million jobs were made just by immigration. Immigrants already pay taxes and most immigrants are law abiding, America should let those who have lived here remain here, as Bernie Sanders said “It is time to end the discussion of mass deportation. We cannot and we should not even be talking about sweeping up millions of men, women, and children, many of whom have been here for years, and throwing them away.” (Sanders). In today’s society more people would rather have people who have immigrated into America turn into citizens than get deported, it would be…
