Macbeth Murder Macduff Family

The murder of Macduff’s family is significant, compared to the previous murders. The murder of Macduff’s family is done without a cause. Before killing Duncan, Macbeth believes that “If it were done, when ‘tis done, then ‘twere well it were done quickly:”(I.vii.1-2) would put him on the throne shortly after. When Macbeth murdered Banquo, he did it in order to keep the witches’ prophecy from coming true. Macbeth’s emotions change from the first murder to the last. With Duncan’s murder, Macbeth felt “if th’ assassination could trammel up the consequences”(I.vii.3-4) then he wouldn’t feel guilty about doing it.
