CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

Most of the teenagers, children or even adults are watching anime. Some of them are watching Anime in a private way that can make them understand and concentrate to the story, but there are times that it is watched by group, they say that it is more fun to watch Anime with friends or even strangers, but the more the audience the more the interruption. Japanese animation is called Anime. The word is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term named all animation, but in other languages, the term is defined as animation from Japan or as a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastic themes. For simplicity, many Westerners strictly view anime as an animation product from Japan. The first Japanese Animation (Anime) was Katsudō Shashin, an undated and private work by an unknown creator. Anime arose in the early 20th century, when Japanese filmmakers experimented with the animation techniques also pioneered in France, Germany, the United States and Russia. In 1917, the first professional and publicly displayed works began to appear. Animators such as Ōten Shimokawa and Seitarou Kitayama produced numerous works, with the oldest surviving film being Kouchi's Namakura Gatana, a two-minute clip of a samurai trying to test a new sword on his target only to suffer defeat.

He intended this as a temporary measure to allow him to produce material on a tight schedule with inexperienced animation staff. Three Tales, aired in 1960, was the first anime shown on television. The first anime television series was Otogi Manga Calendar, aired from 1961 to 1964. The 1970s saw a surge of growth in the popularity of Manga, Japanese comic books and graphic novels, many of which

As the science of technology rose into entertainment, not even Hollywood could compete with the new stars of animation. The first broadcast ever was in 1928 and the technology used for the broadcasts consisted of a turntable, which was solely used to be the base for the Felix the Cat figurine and propped him up for the shoot; studio lights, which helped transmit the picture and they also needed to be constant; an actor was needed and had to be impervious to heat, cheap, and also constant. In turn, the use of a Felix figurine was perfect for the job not only because of these reasons, but also because the picture was black and white, and Felix was a black and white cat. A scanning disk was also needed since it was the part of the equipment that actually made the broadcast, so was an electric kinescope receiver and a rotoscope. A rotoscope was needed to trace images of the characters on paper frame by frame and was invented by Max Fleischer in 1915. (Felixthecat.com) In the history of animation there were many directors and famous characters. The most famous of them were those of the 1920's. 2-D animation films improved as regular films did using the different color processes and cameras as time went along. However, animation had a breakthrough when 3-D animation was introduced by Ed Catmull in 1972. It was not a film but it was an experiment. During this time, technology was increasing and improving, so computers were then used to create 2-D and 3-D animation.…

Disney is known world wide for their animated films. People love them because of their feel good story lines, astounding use of animation, and largely, the music incorporated into the movies. Walt Disney pioneered the animation standards for many animators since his time. His approach to the making of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs is very interesting, he doesn't simply dive in drawing frame by frame but rather he divides the animation by the object or thing with movement. Meaning, Disney had multiple separate animations unified under his multiplane camera, capturing a still background and multiple cells painted that were animated separately but successfully creating the illusion with the careful pacing of a single composition.…

Star Wars has a lot of special effects. these are just some the these special effects. All these are used in "Coming Distractions" and " How Do They Do That."
