How self-esteem affects your life.
No one said life was easy; many trials and tribulations bring you to who you are today. It could be the simplest thing like, parents going through a divorce or moving out of state. Having to make new friends, starting a new school or finding a new job. All of these factors in life build you up and make you who you are. If you go against the grains of society,then you may have a more difficult life. Being different from others may cause you to have low self-esteem. There are many things that can affect your life. You may dress in clothes that come from Walmart, then you get teased for not wearing name brand clothes. If you have a handicap then people may treat you differently, it is almost like they do not know how to act around you. Being a homosexual can cause all sorts of issues. People judge you and do not get to know you. We get called evil and told we are an abomination to the world. Even having a child at a young age causes issues. We get told that we are a whore or that we are to young to be mothers. No one really knows our story and we are the ones that suffer. Each of us have our own set of standards in life that we follow and not all people are going to agree with it. For example my parents raised me in a Christian home. Their standards were do unto others as you would want to be treated. They had high standards, church every Sunday and Wednesday. School on time, prayers before meals and bedtime. Letting these factors control your life may take a toll on your health. Your immune system may be lowered and you will get sick easily. Stress does not just affect one area of the body, it affects the whole body. You may get stressed out beyond belief. Stress is not a good thing to have in your life. You may wind up pushing people out of your life because you cant handle the issues that come along. Stressors in life cause the body to become weak and vulnerable. It is almost like your body is giving up....
