The results of the study according to the article stated that group B showed a higher significance than group A. This was done to improve functional mobility in GBS. The group that was given functional mobility and strengthening together had improved muscle power. The reason I chose this article is because I saw a client with the Guillian Barre Syndrome in an outpatient clinic I went to visit for observation hours. He was a teacher for mentally challenged children in a school district and missed his students but due to his condition he couldn’t do at the time. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant student, I want to experience helping individuals get back to their daily lives before therapy came along and know that there is life after their incident. This article spoke to me because it was a study to help clients get back to their daily lives even after a rare syndrome as this one. I could use these results to provide safe and effective OT services in a way such as finding ways to help assist patients improve on movement that will help them when therapy is over. Different studies could be done such as typing or doing an activity that involves hand movement that prevents
