Government For the People
Government for the people- What can get the millennial’s to trust the government again and believe it’s a government for the people? For many generations, the previous generation is what the upcoming generations have been improved and built upon. However, teenagers and young adults are growing up at a different time of history than their parents or grandparents. They are not part of "the greatest generation" of Depression-fueled frugal spenders. They are not coming of age in the baby boomer "me" generation of spendthrifts that uses credit to purchase everything and anything without considering the consequences. This group of young adults is witnessing the American economy bottom out in deep recession. Generation Y watches as parents and neighbors lose their homes to foreclosure and their grandparents try to stretch Social Security to cover basic needs. Still, this group of young adults juggles bills and hopes for a money miracle. My purpose for working on this project is for my future children and my children’s children and beyond, I want to see what can be done to solve this issue so we can have a strong government again. So millennials can regain their trust in the government and truly feel it is a government of the people, by the people, for the people so our future generations can build their futures. Millennials are really fed up with the federal government intrusion in their daily lives and no longer trust the government. If the millennial generation no longer trusts the government where does that leave the future of our country for the generations leaving them with no solid foundation to build their future upon? What are needs, interests, values, and beliefs of the Millennial’s? What Millennial’s need to know is that they can trust the government in allowing them to being able to bring their products to the free market with without them intruding because the government has something to gain or lose from it. They want to be able to
