Evaluation of the Movie: "Transformers"
Evaluation of the movie: “Transformers” When I was a child, I just to watch TV for about one or two hours, and I remember that my brothers were always there, watching the animated series “Transformers”. At that time, I didn’t like really much those series. But I had to watch it because of my brothers. Then we grew up, and never watch those kinds of series again, until 2007, when a movie about those caricatures came out to the theater. My brothers and I went to watch the movie, and I just liked it, because there were good actors, the time and plot combined were good, and I loved the genres that it contains. I decided to evaluate this movie, because my brothers, my nephew and I have watched it many times. The movie “Transformers” was released on July 3rd, 2007, the director was Michael Bay, the studios were DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures, and the primary actors and actresses were: Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Anthony Anderson, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson. The genre is: Action/Adventure, Science Fiction/Fantasy adaptation, and war. The plot of the movie is: The earth is caught on the middle of an intergalactic war between two races of robots, the heroics Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which are able to change into a variety of objects, including cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations (yahoo, 2007). As I said, I went to the theater to watch this movie, and I thought that it was going to have actors that were well known. But then the movie begun and I realized that I didn’t know many of them, like Shia LaBeouf, and Megan Fox, so I expected that the movie would not be good. As the movie went on, and I discovered that the actors and actresses were good, they worked great together, and people liked them. They were professionals, and acted really great. After that, one of my brothers told me that they had already acted on other movies. So I went to the internet and I found out that the actors of this movie, and some other young

This brings forth the question, “ Has computer-generated imagery in cinema gone too far?” In recent years CGI has become synonymous with the Hollywood blockbuster look. While many traditionalists will frown on the overt use of VFX, the extent of its presence remains unknown to most. The reason for this is that the computer graphics that are most effective are integrated so seamlessly within a production that they are overlooked. In this context, the animator and visual effects artist truly fulfills their purpose: selling the imagined as real. Typically, the most apparent CGI tends to be the least effective in its objective. This could be caused by various factors such as hard deadlines or short budgets. Typically, the artist or computer can not be singled out as a sole culprit. A good example is The Scorpion King, which is notorious for containing some of the worst special effects in the history of film-making. The explanation for this is that the film was released prematurely, under the pressure of the producers. The result encompassed computer graphics that were not fully rendered. In an instance such as this, neither the artist or computer can be to…

Mass-media is one of the most abundant forms of communication in this ever advancing society. From the old fashioned radios and paperboy routes of yesteryear to the flooded prime time television programing and internet surfing of today, these mediums have served as the best forms of information dispersement. Alongside today’s breaking news articles and weather reports are constant reminders of the new restaurant that opened down the street or a new film in the movie theater that you have seen twice already. These examples are products of a company’s use of subliminal messaging. The focus is to constantly bombard you with the fact that you want what they offer to the point it would be hard to resist. The fast food restaurant McDonald’s pours billions of dollars into TV advertisements to achieve this with target audience being our children. This is just one of many topics of discussion mentioned in Morgan Spurlock’s film ”Super-Size Me”.…

The fairy tale is one of the most common and worldwide types of children’s entertainment through centuries. According to Marcia R. Lieberman, the effects are gargantuan, as she relates: “Children learn behavioral and associational patterns, value systems, and how to predict the consequences of specific acts or circumstances. Among other things, these tales present a picture of sexual roles, behavior, and psychology, and a way of predicting outcome or fate according to sex, which is important because of the intense interest that children take in ‘endings’; they always want to know how things will ‘turn out.’”(Lieberman 384). Likewise, fairy tales teach children not only the ordinary lessons, such as good behavior is rewarded and bad behavior is punished, but also traditional gender roles, as well as what class, race, and is valued in our society. Especially, for girls, many fairy tales tend to determine a woman’s value on her beauty and their gender behavior through the female characters such as princesses they want to be.…

The movie, all in all, had great graphics and comedy for all ages. The realism makes the film more appealing to the eye and the comedians who serve as voices for the characters do not disappoint even with it being a kid 's film. The only down fall to the movie was the sad part where Nemo 's mother dies and when father and son are separated. It is a movie that any kid can relate to that is self conscious, and needs to be brave no matter what happens. Its light hearted commentary keeps you amused all 101…

This movie had several actors such as: Jason Momoa as Conan, Rose Mcgowan as Marique, Rachel Nichols as Tamara, Stephen Lang as Khalar Zym, Ron Perlman as Corin, and Bob Sapp as Ukafa. “Conan the Barbarian” is about a child (Conan) that watched his father (Corin) being murdered from a tribe of people looking for a piece to connect to a symbol so he can rule the world.
