The world of gaming is a complex world; different levels, stories and characters. It takes a while before you can fully understand the world of gaming and what’s attracting people to begin with gaming. There are so many different games and terms that it is easy to get them mixed up with each other. So why is there so many people that like’s gaming? And is it really good way of learning? In this essay I will investigate why some people think that gaming is a good way of learning and what effects it has on the body and mind. I will also explain why I am against gaming.
There are many negative effects that have been proved through gaming, such as social isolation, aggressive behavior and degrading view of women. I see gaming as a problem among teenagers and younger boys. There are more boys than girls that are into gaming in today’s society. It is easy that gaming becomes an addiction and it is important that you don’t spend too many hours in front of the computer. Many people that like's gaming makes it a priority and becomes less social.
Gaming today has become an important part in the everyday life to a lot of people. Some makes gaming to the top priority, which can have a big impact on their school or work. It can become so important to them that they put more time on gaming than homework for example.
43 000 000 hours each day is spent on gaming in UK. That is an enormous amount of time that could be put on more important things such as studies.
So what is attracting people to become gamers? I think that it is a sort of relaxation to some people, a kind of escape from reality. Everyone has some sort of reality escape. Sometimes it can be really nice to not having to think about reality, although it is very important that it does not become an addiction.
