I found your Discussion Board Forum 4 post quite interesting. I didn’t agree with the post in its entirety. Opening a new business is hard work. Anyone looking into opening a business should thoroughly do their research. Betty has done some great ground work by researching a few franchises. The franchise concept is a great option for someone new to the business world. The franchisor usually continues to support the operation of the franchisee 's business by providing advertising, accounting, training, related services, and in many instances, products needed by the franchisee. (Satterlee, 2009). Betty would not be in business by herself. She would have professional advice throughout this journey. If Betty chose a sole proprietorship she would solely be responsible. Franchising means using a tried and tested formula to benefit from the experience and support of the franchisor (Schizas, 2013).I don’t agree that she shouldn’t employ Emma solely because of beliefs. Emma would be an employee not a partner. Emma is fully aware that Betty wants to run a Christian coffee shop. I would not choose Alice to partner, because of her husband’s firm beliefs that his wife should be at home. I would not want to start any family problems. However, I do believe that Betty’s husband could be her business partner. The financial contributions will assist greatly with Betty’s goals. I agree that Betty needs to consider other names for her business, because “The Gathering Place” was taken”. I think it is a great idea for her to name her business something that lets customers now that it is a coffee shop. Betty should look at the pros and cons of all the business types and go from there. Regardless of what decision Betty makes she needs to look to God for guidance to make the right decisions.…

Reliability can be explained as the consistency of scores over time. Assessments are usually reliable when you get the same results regardless of when the assessment is taken or who does the scoring. On the other hand, Validity indicates how well an assessment actually measures what it is supposed to measure. Every assessment requires students to complete some task or activity and the validity of the task should reflect some knowledge or performance, and be consistent with current educational theory and practice. The quality of the assessment should be reliable because you would think that teachers thought carefully about the assessment before giving it to their students.…

When discussing the topic of teasing, there are a lot of things to consider in respect to when it is considered appropriate or inappropriate. So much of what is considered appropriate is usually between people who have a mutual understanding or a friendship. Most of the time teasing is used in good humor to make each other laugh, or to jab at someone in a friendly manner. When friends or people who are close tease one another, usually there are areas that are considered off limits or things that are considered bad taste to bring up.…

The requirements laid out in this vision actually prompted the development of four programs from the periods of 2003 to 2005. The first program involved implementing a CIO governance program. The second program, provided “organizational and people capabilities” (Haggerty, 2003) and specified key services that the IT group would need to be able to support to the organization. The third involved process improvements which helped to organize an annual IT strategy planning process. The fourth program involved technological direction which “laid the foundation for re-architecting the organization” (Haggerty, 2003). The areas of business intelligence and data management, application deployment, integration and messaging, standardization and simplification, and security deployment were five areas that required immediate attention. For this reason, these areas also serve as requirements for the data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives to take…
