Bernard Kouchner a French politician and doctor born on the 1st of November 1939 started his career as a young doctor in a red cross association in Biafra 1968 during the Nigeria civil war, it was due to his experience during that period that inspired him to be committed to preventing humanitarian crisis and that was why he co-founded his organisation ‘medecins sans frontiers. The debate drugs war is based on the issue of drugs. Bernard kouncher ‘We have lost the war on drugs’ [versus debate 2012]. War on drugs must be under the control of a state or government, ending the war on drugs does not mean legislation could take place. He also says education is the best way of talking to the public on the effect on drugs to the society. Bernard Kouchner has the ability to see and comment due to his experience and expertise as a doctor whose vested interest is to tell the truth and save life and also take a neutral position. Bernard Kouchner could therefore be seen as reliable and trustworthy source.
