He also states how we are beginning to spend too much money on computers that aren't even needed to be able to teach basic skills. The main point that is made by the passage is that we rely too much on technology, such as computers or phones when they are technically not needed. There are things such as spell check that correct your spelling and punctuations for you. Therefore, you won't learn how to correctly spell or use a word because spell check is automatically generated.
