To begin with, there are many famous people who were once homeless at some point in their life. No one in life choses to be homeless it's just something that happens. Some people become homeless because of losing their job, getting pregnant, or even family problems. Bad habits are not always the reason for the cause of people being left to live in the streets. Many can say the homeless are responsible for their own actions. However people like, NFL player, Michael Oher can argue differently. Michael didn’t choose to live in the streets but family problems got in the way and caused that to happen. It wasn't his fault he ended up in a situation like that, but with the help of one person it changed his life. It also made him the person he is today.

A large percentage of the homeless get out of that situation due to the assistance they get if they qualify. People around 21 and older get approved faster. People younger than the age of 21 that are homeless it's a longer process, but 6,500 homeless people get approved for some type of health care. A major issue that is occurring is health problems.
