Solar Eclipse, only at New Moon, totality max ~7.5 min
Understand what causes an annular eclipse

It's obvious to anybody, really is the daily cycle, what astronomers call the diurnal cycle. The daily motions, the diurnal cycle we see in the sky are caused by the rotation of the Earth on its axis. When viewed from above Earth, the North Pole, the Earth spins in a counterclockwise direction, eastward (from west to east),. It makes a complete rotation of 360 degrees in a little less than 24 hours (more precisely 23.9 hours). For this reason, when viewed from the Earth’s surface, the Sun, Moon, and stars appear to rise in the east and set in the west, making a complete rotation of 360 degrees in a little less than 24 hours. So here we are on the Earth, it's a big, spinning ball. But to us, attached to…

As the Moon circles Earth, the amount of light we see changes. These changes in light that we see are known as phases. As the Moon orbits around the Earth, the changing of light is known as waxing and waning. The phases have to do with the relativity of the Sun, Earth, and Moon. The phases help us determine what part of the month we are in. There are many phases that occur in the time span of one month. The phases have been classified with these names, new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, and waning crescent.…

Our solar system contains nine planets, which are broken down into 2 classifications known as terrestrial planets and jovian planets. The terrestrial planets are composed primarily of rock and metal. They also generally have high densities, slow rotation, solid surfaces, no rings, and few satellites. These planets include Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. On the other hand, the jovian planets are composed primarily of hydrogen and helium. They generally have low densities, rapid rotation, deep atmospheres, rings, and numerous satellites. These planets include Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.…
