A good leader is someone who loves to lead others to live life to the fullest and does their very best at it, so that the other people involved love to be led and be inspired to their best to exceed the expectations set before them. A good leader has many desirable personal qualities and has learned the practical skills needed to excel in their position. They are dedicated to the program they are in and willing to do whatever it takes to raise the expectations around them and inspire others to do the same. A good leader motivates and inspires others to do what is right. They are confident and give good reason for why to follow them. A good leader "practices what they preach" they set the example and encourage others to follow in their footsteps. I believe that an effective leader is a person who has a dream and a vision that will improve the program they are involved in, or at least, some portion of it. A good leader has to feel passionate about their goals and dreams, because if they are not, they will not be able to make the necessary difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions that are often needed. A good leader must possess courage and a strong will to do whatever it takes to improve the social group in which they are surrounded by. To be effective, a good leader also has to try to come up with effective strategies that will help guide their vision in the right direction, in other words, a good leader has to be creative and possess intellectual drive. A good leader must also be able to be understanding and be a good listener. They must take into consideration how their decision might affect their team members, friends, and whether or not it is the best decision or if there are other options. Thus, a good leader must be open for change and new ideas to succeed and help others excel to new heights. A good leader must be dependable; others need to know that their leader will be there when needed. This relates to
