A Critical Analysis of education system in Pakistan
A Critical Analysis of Education System Of

Pakistan

Currently the education system of Pakistan is flaw full. Today education of good quality is only accessible to the elite class. It is because of the private sector has overwhelmingly dominated.Public sector education is of low quality due to lack of accountability, small buget and less number of educational institutions. peripheral areas are totally ignored in education. Lack of qualified and trained staff is also a reason for poor education system.A little qualified people who come out of this system are never encouraged. That is why people always look abroad for proper education and good life.
Most important problem with our educational system is lack of a single, uniform and proper educational system. We do not have a workable education system. There are mainly two types of education system in our country, one for common people and one for elite class.the education system for common people is divided into primary level, middle, secondary ,higher secondary and university level.then there is second education system specially designed for an elite class. That is A-level and O-level education system and then there are many resources available for elite class to go abroad for higher education. There is a vast difference between the quality of these two different forms of educational system. The elite class education system is better then the other one. Obviously elite is the minor proportion of population, thus overall system is poor for education.
Similarly as the government has failed to improve public sector education that is why the private sector has over dominated the education system of Pakistan. Today all parents want to send there children to a private school, for example beacon house school system is so much successful in Pakistan for maintaining quality of education. The only problem with this education system is their fee and curriculum. High fee makes this education out of reach of common people and

The current, test based, American Educational system fails to instill in student a desire for life- long learning and does not prepare them to be well rounded and successful adults. A change in educational philosophy needs to be made in this country before it is to late. Educations is what defines a person life and without a proper education, people wont be able to go anywhere in life. Students usually study for their test and forget what they studied the next day. After school all students want to do is get away from their work and not have to do it anymore. There is not necessarily a perfect educational system, but it could be better than what we have now. People are not going where they are supposed to after schooling. There is a book, That Used To Be Us by Thomas L. Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum, which can prove this.…

With the learning gap, hidden curriculum, and federal education programs it would be reasonable to believe that is the only reason why the educations system is failing. Although, there is one factor that plays the largest role of all, demographics. The type of schooling a child is receiving and where they are receiving that schooling is the main concept of their education. Depending on the orientation of students, those who are in suburban public schools are going to receive an entirely different education then children in rural public schools. Continuing, those who are in private schools are going to be taught differently than children who are in charter schools or go through public schooling. Students who are from completely two different…

The education system, as we know it, is failing. The system is faced with a slew of complications that could be resolved, but it does not appear as if change is on the horizon. Children are not being taught in a way that could help them think critically and become leaders in this world. Many people displayed their displeasure with the system and various authors, philosophers, etc. wrote articles on the situation. The biggest problem in the school system is the way the information is given and the teachers themselves. Teachers that have finessed a tenure teaching job and do not deserve it, are very hard to lay off because of the teacher union. Teachers are responsible for shaping the youth and the quality of the teacher should be looked in a lot more than it actually is. Also many kids learn differently, some are visual learners, some are hands on learners and more. Schools do not accommodate the learning preferences of students. This could lead to students becoming bored, fall behind, and…

Although the United States is by no means providing an inadequate educational system, it does not mean that improvements cannot be made in order to better it. Other countries are beginning to prevail over the country by gradual margins. Europe and Asia on average have the best systems, so there should be collaboration between countries so that the entire human race can learn how to succeed together rather than compete against one another in an unhealthy and dividing fashion. One should be able to be successful in the world via education no matter who they are or where they are…

If we analyze, education requires a big amount of money from its first brick till the completion. In our country for the last 60 years our government is spending hardly one percent of its yearly income to the education. Where as developed countries are giving maximum attention to the education and giving eight to ten percent of its yearly budget to the education. In foreign countries instructional staffs are highly payed but in our country the lowest salaried are paid to the teachers. Most of the institutions are with insufficient accommodations .most of the classes in every institution is very big in numbers and these become difficult for a teacher to handle. Play grounds are not there. Books required for the students to consult are not available in the existing libraries. Education is a universal, fundamental human right, recognized by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and reaffirmed in international human rights conventions. In this era of technology, advancement and globalization, education is the key to success and peace. Education is considered as the cheapest defense of a nation. But the worst condition of education in Pakistan reflects the fact that it is unable to defend its own sector. Though 62 years have passed and 23 policies and action plans have been introduced yet the educational sector is waiting for an effective educational reforms. With respect to Human Development Index, Pakistan has been placed by UNDP at 136th position, lower than some of its regional neighbors like Sri Lanka, Maldives, India and Myanmar mainly due to its low literacy rate and low primary level enrolment. In different reports the Ministry of Education claimed that literacy in Pakistan is over 50%, but open sources disagree with it and they say that it is merely 35%. Ratio of budget indicates the level of importance given by a nation to the education. Historically, Pakistan has been spending less on education, as compared to other countries in the region. Pakistan spends less than 2% of its GDP on education which is less than Iran, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Maldives the neighboring countries of Pakistan, the world standard stands at 5% of the GDP. With such non serious attitude towards Education, there remains a dearth of well educated and skillful individuals. Among the SAARC Nations, Pakistan is at the sixth and at the 159th position among the 174 World countries.…

About 10 years ago, when moved to Canada, Pakistan was and still is a very slow developing country that had a medium education system even in the high end society. The system in schools in Pakistan were not based on any kind of levels such as academic, applied, and ESL compared to what it is here in Canadian high schools. Pakistani schools' inside environment just seemed like if you are not in school rather at some tutoring center that only had rooms but no other activities or clubs going on except the sports. But Canadian school's inside environment makes you feel like if you are actually in school the way it is decorated, different activities are going on, and every student has a locker. In Pakistan, teachers are putting too much of the load of homework and basic work on students no matter what the age, and without caring about how it will effective the student. But, I have seen in Canada that there are rules for teachers to put a certain amount of load on students. However, nowadays Pakistan has developed a better schooling system in high end society just like the British system.…
