Tuition prices have been rising over the years and it has become harder for students to pay off their debts. For this reason, it would be best if colleges would lower their tuition prices. Schools are always trying to influence students into attending college but they don’t realize that many students end up not going to college because they don’t have enough money to pay for tuition. By doing this, student wouldn’t end up with a large debt after graduating. Seniors in college wouldn’t have an overwhelming debt if the tuition rates decreased. In the article, Pros and Cons Argument: Is a College Education Worth It?, is states, “in 2012 there were 6.9 million student loan borrowers aged 50 and over who collectively owed $155 billion with individual average balances between $19,521 and $23,820”. Once students graduate, they still need time to find a job, meanwhile, their debt continues to rise. This proves that by raising college tuition, it has only caused students that have graduated to have a large debt many years
