Why History Is Important
Why History is Important The Study of history is important because we learn from our mistakes, we share a common experience with people that binds us together, our minds store our experiences, and society can build upon past accomplishments. The first, and most significannot reason history is important is because we learn from our mistakes. If there were no history then everyone would make the same mistakes over and over. In any job, if you can avoid mistakes you or someone else made in the past then you would run a more efficient working place. An intelligent person would not make the mistakes themselves but learn from other people's mistakes. The second reason history is important is because we share a common experience which binds us together as a country, society, and people. We can relate with our neighbors, peers, or even someone off the street. We often share the same hardships or happiness as these other people. If we didn't have history than we would not have any thing to share with one another. The third reason history is an important factor in our life is because our minds are store our experiences. Everyone is born with a part in the brain that stores all of the history that you see, hear, and feel. If we didn't have history, it would be like having amnesia and we would not know what was what. For example, when we have a certain experience like going to the beach for the first time; it's the first time you touch the sand, see waves crashing, or feel the cool salty breeze against your face. That is an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life. If you didn't have history or memory then every time you go somewhere it would be like the first time since you don't remember, and you would not have experience in life. The fourth reason history is important is because society can build upon past accomplishments with out having to re-achieve them. We as people make inventions and

George Santayana the spanish essayist once said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” History is more than a study of things that has happened in the past it’s more on the decisions we as people make. From the choices, the results we get, and to the possible consequences everyone gets from the decisions they have made. People who learn the history learn an extreme amount of lessons and have a better chance of making better choices just by lessons we learned from the past.…

Memory makes us who we are. According to How Human Memory Works, most people talk about their memory like a thing they have, but memory doesn’t exist like your body does. It’s more like a concept that refers to the process of remembering. Many scientists and researchers compare the human memory as a filing cabinet with memory folders or a supercomputer in the past, but now people say that the average human memory is a much more complex system; memory is said to be a brain-wide process, not just in a single part. A complex structure a single memory seems to be, because of the different parts. Think about an apple. You probably thought about the colors an apple can be, that an apple is a fruit, even how you eat an apple. Although there are many components of what you thought was a single memory, you probably won’t recognize where the different parts your apple memories are coming from, only the apple as a whole. Even scientists are only on square one with figuring out how the brain brings all the memories together into one whole mental image, graph, or chart.…

You can feel the soft sand with your bare feet as you're going down the long warm sand dune. You can feel the sun baking your skin slowly like your inside an oven, when you're laying flat on a blanket on the beach, you can feel the wind blowing in your hair as you stand on the lookout. You can feel the force of the hard rhythmic waves as they push you back to shore and then you fell the sharp shells and rough rocks as you step out of the water. If you walk on the beach you will smell the scent of fish and seaweed and when you walk into the woods you will smell the pungent scent that will remind you of dog waste, you will also smell a strong smell of grass after being mowed and if you walk back to camp you will smell the sweet scent of mosquito spray, the smell of rice and chicken and herbs. You will taste the fresh air at camp and the seaweed tasting beach water , the sweetness of chocolate and marshmallow after being cooked in the fire, the saltiness of the many bags of chips you will eat, the spice of the biryani, the sourness of the sugar sticks and skittles and if you’re lucky you will taste the mud of…
